NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING NO. 1
The Village of Byesville is eligible and intends to apply to the Ohio Development Services Agency for funding through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Residential Public Infrastructure Grant Program, a federally-funded program administered by the State.
The first of two or more public hearings will be held on Wednesday, August 8th, 2018 at 5:00 pm at the Municipal Building on 221 Main Street, Byesville, Ohio 43723. This public hearing will provide citizens with pertinent information about the CDBG program, including an explanation of eligible activities and program requirements. The CDBG program can fund a broad range of activities, including: economic development projects; street, water supply, drainage and sanitary sewer improvements, park acquisition and improvements; demolition of unsafe structures; rehabilitation of housing and neighborhood facilities. The activities must be designed to primarily benefit low and moderate-income persons, aid in the prevention or elimination of slum and blight or meet an urgent need of the community.
Citizens are encouraged to attend this meeting on August 8th to provide input on the Village’s proposed CDBG project.

No parking on 6/28/2018 on South 7th St, Mclaughlin, West Watson, and North 7th St
We will be grinding and preparing streets for paving tomorrow. Streets in the area of South 7th, Mclaughlin, West Watson, and North 7th St will have no on street parking permitted between the hours of 7:45 and 5:00 P.M. on 6/27/18

The Gus Macker basketball tournament will be held on July 7th and 8th at the Rolling Hills Campus.
Byesville Blast
Byesville Blast will be on July 1st from 1:00 to dark at the Byesville park. Fireworks will start at dark.
Legislative Committee Meeting
A legislative Committee meeting will be Held Tuesday at 5:00.
Byesville Park Road has new name
The park road circling the Park will be named Newt Oliver Way after legendary basketball coach Newt Oliver. Newt Oliver was a member of the Ohio Basketball Hall of fame, former Northwestern High School athletic director and a resident of Byesville.
Memorial Day Parade
Line up for the memorial day parade will be at 1:00 at the Assembly of God Parking lot.
A program will be presented at the cemetery at 2:00 all are welcome to attend.
